If you are a data expert looking for work, go to the Browse Data Requests page and find a suitable project request. Before you start applying to projects, make sure that your profile is complete and updated.
Is Data Terns free to join as a data expert?
Yes, it’s free to join Data Terns, complete your profile, search for work and create your own projects/requests. Our service fee is based on your earnings with each client.
What projects can I find on Data Terns?
Clients are looking for data experts with skill sets including copywriting, data mining, data analysis, etc. Find the work you’re looking for, in your desired location, on fixed-price and hourly contracts.
What is the Profile section?
This section shows your account as viewed by other data experts and requesters. It includes your listings and reviews received from previous clients/requesters.

What is the cost of posting a data request?
Posting a request on Data Terns is free.
How to post a request?
On the homepage, click on ‘Post a Request’ on the right side of the screen. Alternatively, you can click here to create a data request.
How can I write a review for a data expert?
After a project is completed and the expert is paid the full amount of his or her winning bid (through Data Terns), you can write a review on the data expert’s profile.
Can I pay the data expert directly?
No, for your safety, all payments are made through Data Terns. Data Terns will not be able to assist if you pay an expert outside the platform. If you are asked to use an alternative payment method, please report it to Customer Service immediately.
What fees does Data Terns charge?
Data Terns charges a flat rate of 20% as platform fees from clients who hire experts through this platform. This means that for every transaction, the client pays 20% of the total value of the project to the marketplace as fees.
